Jamshedpur, March 22: Within a week of drug peddler Afsar Ali murder, the police succeeded in solving the case by arresting two notorious criminals from Adityapur and Baliguma.

Pistol, magazine recovered
Those arrested were identified as Abdul Karim and Fakra Alam alias Raju, residents of Adityapur Muslim Bustee and Baliguma in the MGM thana area.
While arresting the duo, the police have also recovered a pistol and a magazine that had been used in the murder.

Ali’s body was recovered on March 14
The bullet-riddled body of Ali, a resident of Adityapur Muslim Bustee was found lying near the Sitarampur Dam under Gamharia thana area in the adjoining Seraikela-Kharsawan district on March 14 morning.

After a murder case was registered in connection to the incident, the Seraikela-Kharsawan SP Mukesh Lunayat had set up an SIT to investigate and detect the case.
More persons involved in the murder
Revealing about the breakthrough, the Seraikela-Kharsawan SP stated that the murder was committed in a sequel to an old enmity.
Lunayat stated that the two arrested persons have confessed their involvement in the murder and have divulged more information regarding the case.
“As of now, only two persons have been arrested. There are more persons in the murder. The SIT is trying to nab the rest of the accused,” said the senior police officer.
