Ramgarh, Nov 14: A two-day referee, judge, and coach seminar and examination is being held in Ramgarh district, Jharkhand, under the joint auspices of the Karate India Organisation (KIO) and the Sports Karate Association of Jharkhand (SKAJ).
Participants in the seminar will be trained on the new rules of the World Karate Federation (WKF). The examination for referees and judges under the Karate India Organisation will be conducted tomorrow.
Top karate officials lead the training
The seminar is being conducted by Hanshi Premjit Sen, Chairman of the Referee Commission (KIO) and Referee – World Karate Federation (WKF). Karate instructors, judges, and referees from various districts of Jharkhand are taking part.


The event began under the guidance of Manas Sinha, President of SKAJ, and Sensei Hejaz Asadaq, Secretary and Judge, Asian Karate Federation. The first session started with Kumite rules of the WKF.
Ramgarh District Karate Do Association hosts the event
The seminar is being hosted by the Ramgarh District Karate Do Association. President Narendra Sinha, Secretary Shihan Shashi Pandey, SKAJ Treasurer Uday Kumar, Shihan Ranjit Mehta, and Sensei Sanjay Sonkar were present during the programme.
SKAJ President Hanshi Manas Sinha and Secretary Sensei Hejaz Asadaq expressed special gratitude to Hanshi Bharat Sharma, President of KIO, and Kyoshi Sanjeev Kumar Jangra, General Secretary of KIO, for entrusting this responsibility to the Jharkhand association.
Event seen as major boost for karate in Jharkhand
Organisers said this event will be a milestone in Jharkhand’s karate history, creating new opportunities for athletes, coaches, referees, and judges to grow at the national and international levels.
