Dhanbad, Feb 1: Sindri College, Sindri, bid a heartfelt farewell to Dr. Md Ataullah Mallick, Head of the English Department, who retired on Friday after serving the institution for 29 years.

A grand farewell ceremony was organized on the college campus to honor Dr. Mallick’s contributions. The event saw the presence of Principal Dr. K.K. Pathak, senior faculty members from various departments, and non-teaching staff.

A Distinguished Career

They lauded his efforts in enhancing the academic reputation of Sindri College, a constituent unit of Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University (BBMKU), Dhanbad.

Dr. Md Ataullah Mallick joined Sindri College in 1996 and served in various capacities over the years. In his distinguished 29-year tenure, he held key responsibilities as Head of the Department, Professor-in-Charge, and in several administrative roles, always fulfilling his duties with dedication and excellence.

Words of Appreciation

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Pathak extended his best wishes for Dr. Mallick’s post-retirement life. He described him as one of the most popular faculty members, admired by both colleagues and students for his cordial nature and willingness to help others. As a token of appreciation, Dr. Mallick was felicitated with a shawl and bouquet.

Several senior faculty members, including Dr. Manoj Tiwari, Dr. Vishu Meghnani, Dr. Manmohan Singh, Dr. Mamta Kumari, Dr. Nishant Kumar Dubey, Dr. Nitu Gaurav Kumar, Dr. Sumrin Kumar Rajak, Dr. Anuradha Das, Dr. Arti Yadav, Dr. Ramola Jojo, Dr. Puja Kumari, Dr. Ankit Alok Toppo, Dr. Subhashish Dutt, Dr. Ranjit Prasad Rajak, Shiv Shankar Jha, Vinod Kumar Singh, Sanjay Yadav, Vijay Kumar Singh, Sanjay Hansda, and Tara Khatoon, addressed the gathering and wished him a fulfilling retirement.
