  • Male candidates:
    • Engineering/Technology and Non-Engineering backgrounds: 96 percentile.

    • Engineering/Technology and Non-Engineering backgrounds: 91 percentile.

Sectional cutoffs differ slightly by gender, but the overall criteria ensure all applicants meet high standards of merit.

By setting clear percentile benchmarks across genders and academic streams, XLRI aims to foster a diverse cohort of students with a variety of perspectives. The small differences in cutoffs are designed to encourage broader participation while maintaining rigorous selection standards.

Human Resource Management (HRM) Program Cutoffs

For the Human Resource Management (HRM) program, the overall cutoff requirements are:

  • Male candidates:
    • Engineering/Technology background: 95 percentile.
    • Non-Engineering background: 93 percentile.
  • Female candidates:
    • Engineering/Technology background: 90 percentile.
    • Non-Engineering background: 87 percentile.

Similar to the BM program, sectional cutoffs vary slightly based on gender and academic background.

These cutoff thresholds reflect XLRI’s dedication to recognizing the diverse skill sets of candidates while aligning with the evolving demands of the HR field. The HR landscape increasingly values a blend of technical expertise, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills, and XLRI’s cutoff structure reflects this balance.

By setting clear and well-defined cutoffs for both the BM and HRM programs, XLRI continues to emphasize merit-based admissions while ensuring a diverse and inclusive learning environment. This approach not only attracts top talent but also prepares future leaders equipped to excel in a rapidly changing global economy.
