Erratic scenes are pretty common at the Daltonganj railway station.

Daltonganj, Jan. 7: Passengers bound for Ranchi by Sasaram-Ranchi intercity express train raised a massive protest against the wrong coach indication of the train.
Following the wrong indication of the positioning of this highly popular train’s coach to Ranchi, Dn passengers, including senior citizens, had to rush to and fro to get into the reserved coaches.
Patients use this Sasaram-Ranchi express train to reach higher medical centres in Ranchi, and when there was this mess up of the coach positioning today, they burst into anger.

Daltonganj inquiry office
A railway official here, refusing to be identified, said, “The Daltonganj inquiry office, which takes coach positioning from the originating station, here in the case of this train, took information about coach positioning from Sasaram, which fed it wrong positioning of the coaches and subsequently that error in the positioning of the coach got reflected here in the same manner which caused enough inconveniences to the women, children and sick passengers.
Human error
Railway sources said the train was overstayed by a few more minutes, enabling passengers to board it.
The railway official said no passenger on the platform who had missed the train was available.
Railway sources put this mess up to pure human error. Coach indicators reflect the coach’s position as loaded, and if the positioning of the coach is loaded wrong, the coach indicator reflects the same as no engine crew can help it.
