Dhanbad, Feb 12: A record 32 1st year students of BIT Sindri have been selected for the prestigious Reliance Foundation Scholarship 2024 -28.

Under the Reliance Foundation Scholarship programme, each selected student will receive a grant of 2 lakhs over four years, along with numerous other benefits.

Reliance Foundation selects 5000 students every year

Reliance Foundation selects 5000 undergraduate engineering students across the country for this Scholarship, of which, officials said, the highest 32 have been chosen from BIT Sindri of Jharkhand this year.

Career Development Centre

Giving this information, senior faculty member and chairman of Career Development Centre (CDC) BIT Sindri Dr Ghanshyam said that this achievement will undoubtedly pave the way for their continued success and empower them to pursue their academic and professional aspirations confidently.

“This remarkable feat reflects their dedication and hard work and underscores the quality of education and opportunities available at BIT Sindri,” said Dr Ghanshyam.

He added that achievement showcases students’ academic prowess, resilience, and determination.

He thanked Syed Adnan Ahmad and Vivek Tiwari for guiding the students in the selection process.

The selection process for Scholarship

Giving details about the selection process for the Reliance Foundation Scholarship, Dr Ghanshyam said that it is a challenging course to complete in two months. First, students must go through online aptitude tests and comprehensive evaluations of their academic records from matriculation and intermediate levels.

“I commend all the scholarship recipients for their unwavering dedication, perseverance, and exemplary performance. Their success not only brings pride to our institution but also serves as an inspiration to their peers and future generations of students,” said Dr Ghanshyam.

He has also extended sincere gratitude to the Reliance Foundation for their unwavering commitment to education and for recognising the talent and potential of BIT Sindri students.
