Jharkhand: Special religious rituals, ‘Bhandara’ mark Pran Pratistha ceremony in Dhanbad

Dhanbad, Jan 22: Special religious rituals and Bhandara (mass Prasad feeding) were organized at all big and small temples of the coal belt to mark the Pran Pratistha  (consecration) ceremony at the newly built temple of Lord Ram at Ayodhya today.

In the wake of special ritual preparation, temples of the coal belt including Joraphatak Road based Shakti Mandir, Surya Mandir Bekar Bandh, Khareswary Mandir, Rani Bandh Mahveer Mandir, Court More Mahaveer Mandir,  Harimandir Hirapur, Durga Mandir  Masterpara and others had been decorated with flowers and lighting.

Today with the rising of the Sun, devotees were seen flocking towards their nearby temple with Puja platter in hand.

Special rituals, Bhandara

A special arrangement was made at Joraphatak Road based Shakti Mandir where besides a special ritual, Bhandara (mass feeding of Prasad) was also organized.

Surendra Arora, joint secretary of the Shakti Mandir committee said that besides special religious rituals, a live telecast of the Ayodhya ceremony was also arranged for devotees from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm. “Over 700 devotees took Prasad (Khichri) in Bhandara.

Special rituals and Bhandara were also organized at Ram Rajya Temple in Chitahi of Baghmara MLA Dhulu Mahto around 39 km away from the district headquarters where thousands of devotees participated and offered prayers.

48 hours of Special Kirtan and  Bhandara were also organized at Durga Mandir  Hirapur. Dhanbad Press Club too organized Bhandara at Court More Mahveer Temple to mark the Ayodhya  Ram consecration ceremony. Ajay Prasad, Ranjit Singh, Banti Vishwakarma, Kanhaiyya Pandey, Ambar  Klesh, Bipin Kumar, Sanjay, Nitish Chourasia and others were conducting the Bhandara.

Deepotsav in evening

In the evening, Dipotsav and Bhajan Sandhya programmes have been organized at Rajendra Sarovar Bekar Bandh.  Organizer Arti Saw said that more than two thousand devotees would light up Diya to mark the ceremony.

A diya light-up ceremony would be also organized at Bank More, Ram Temple Joraphatak Road and other temples in the evening.
