Ranchi, November 15: Jharkhand is set to celebrate its 25th Foundation Day with a grand two-day Silver Jubilee festival dedicated to tribal icon Lord Birsa Munda and veteran leader ‘Dishom Guru’ Shibu Soren. The event will highlight the state’s rich history, culture, and development journey over the past 25 years.

Special Festival at Morabadi Ground on November 15–16

To mark this milestone, a two-day special festival will be held on November 15 and 16 at Morabadi Ground in Ranchi. Stalls representing all state government departments will be set up to showcase various government schemes, welfare initiatives, and achievements. Visitors will be able to learn about development programs and access detailed information about ongoing schemes.

A major highlight of the celebration will be a special exhibition commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and the life journey of Shibu Soren, popularly known as ‘Dishom Guru’. The exhibition aims to bring Jharkhand’s freedom struggle and its cultural heritage to life.

An immersive zone will also be created, featuring films, documentaries, and informative displays on various themes related to Jharkhand’s progress and identity.

Festival to Connect Jharkhand’s Past with Its Future Vision

The festival is designed not only to celebrate Jharkhand’s glorious past but also to connect its people with the state’s vision for the future. Citizens attending the event will experience a blend of tradition, governance, and modern aspirations.

A special coordination meeting was held today at the Soochna Bhawan auditorium, chaired by Kuldeep Chaudhary, Nodal Officer for Exhibition and Immersive Zone and Welfare Commissioner. Officials from various departments, including Tourism Deputy Director Rajiv Kumar, Assistant Director Isha Khandelwal, and Dr. Asim Kumar, participated in the meeting to finalize the preparations.

Ministers-in-Charge Announced for District-Level Events

Meanwhile, the Cabinet Secretariat and Monitoring Department has released the list of Ministers-in-Charge for district headquarters events on the occasion of State Foundation Day.

However, Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore (Congress) and Labour and Industry Minister Sanjay Yadav (RJD) are notably missing from the list, sparking discussions in political circles about the reasons behind their exclusion.

The following ministers have been appointed as Ministers-in-Charge for the district-level celebrations:

West Singhbhum (Chaibasa): Deepak Birua

Gumla: Chamra Linda

Jamtara: Irfan Ansari

Deoghar: Hafizul Hasan

Godda: Deepika Pandey Singh

Bokaro: Yogendra Prasad
