Jamshedpur, Jan 22: Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Utkal Association was held in a harmonious ambience at the premier Odiya organisation in the steel city on Sunday.
Vote on shifting venue
The AGM being held in a tranquil way was significant in the sense the members of the association were supposed to give a nod to an important move of shifting the venue of Utkal Association from the existing site along Tapti Road in Sakchi to a new place which is also in Sakchi.
The proposal to shift the venue to the new area was unanimously passed in voice votes at the AGM which was chaired by the association’s president Dr Sridhar Pradhan.
The site where the Utkal Association has been proposed to be set up is behind Ravindra Bhavan in Sakchi.

Account statements presented
In the AGM, the statements of accounts for the financial years of 2021-22 and 2022-23 were also presented and were passed unanimously.
It may be mentioned here that earlier the AGM had been convened on January 7, but as quorum for it could not be fulfilled, it was deferred to be held on January 21.
Office bearers in attendance
During the proceedings of the AGM, the vice presidents Dr Sanjay Patro and Badal Bhuyan, general secretary Tarun Kumar Mohanty, treasurer Manish Dash and assistant secretary Vibhuti Bhushan Mohanty beside trusty Advocate Manoranjan Dash were present on the occasion.
Association’s executive members were also present at the AGM and those who attended the meeting include Ashok Mohapatra, Pavitra Mohan Jena, Ashok Samanta, Kishore Mohanty, Manoranjan Prasayat, JP Lenka, Somendra Bhuyan, Manoranjan Swain, Deepak Nayak and Manoranjan Gaud.
