Jamshedpur, April 19: Heat wave conditions would prevail in several isolated parts of the state, especially in Kolhan and Santhal Pargana regions today.
IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre also issued a warning of Loo, in several places. It also issued an advisory on heat stroke and appealed people to stay indoors in the afternoon.
In the past one week, maximum temperature was observed above normal to normal in most parts of the state.
It remained in the range (29-44)°C over the state.
The minimum temperature was observed normal to above normal during the past week.

It was observed in the range of (18-28) °C over the state.
No significant synoptic condition prevails over Jharkhand today.
Only north-westerly to westerly surface wind prevails over the state.
From today till next five days, above-normal maximum temperature is most likely to be observed over most parts of the state.
Heat wave conditions are most likely to prevail at isolated pockets of South-East and North-East parts of the state.
It may lie in the range between 38-45°C during the week, said weather department officials.
