Jharkhand Weather: Hot and humid conditions to prevail at several places today

Jamshedpur, May 17: Hot and humid day conditions will prevail at several isolated places across Jharkhand today, said a forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.

Some of the places which would confront hot and humid conditions today include  Garwha, Palamu and Chatra districts of the state.

The Met centre also predicted a high discomfort index at several places due to hot and humid conditions.

In Palamu and Garhwa region the discomfort index is expected to be 10-12 points above the normal limit.

Meanwhile, IMD’s Ranchi and Patna Met centres also predicted heat wave conditions at isolated places of Deoghar, Jamtara, Dumka, Godda and Pakur on Sunday, May 19.

The Ranchi Met Centre predicted a slight rise in the day’s reading during the next 48 hours.

Met statistics revealed that the maximum temperature fluctuated between 37 and 41 degrees Celsius in most parts of the state during the past 48 hours.
