Jamshedpur, Feb 24: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a forecast of clear sky and dry weather in the next 48 hours.

Weathermen ruled out the possibility of rainfall activity in the next two days.

Today’s satellite pictures suggested that the trough in westerlies from Gangetic West Bengal to south Chhattisgarh across Odisha at 0.9 Km above mean sea level persists.

The minimum temperature which was hovering around 16-18 degrees Celsius in most parts of the state during the past two days is expected to witness a slight fall in the next 24 hours. Thereafter, there will be no significant changes in the minimum temperature.

Notably, light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and gusty wind occurred at isolated places over the state during the past 48 hours.

The highest rainfall of 37.4 mm was recorded at Chakulia (East Singhbhum) during the past couple of days.

The highest maximum temperature of 33.6°C was recorded at Daltonganj yesterday while the lowest minimum temperature of 11.8°C was recorded at Gumla.
