Jamshedpur, Oct 15: Some isolated places in southern Jharkhand are expected to witness light thundershower activity today, said a forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.
The southwest monsoon has completely withdrawn from Jharkhand.
No significant synoptic system prevails over Jharkhand today.
A low-pressure area over the southeast Bay of Bengal persisted over the same region.

It is likely to move west-northwestwards and become well marked low-pressure area over central parts of south Bay of Bengal by October 15.
Thereafter, it is likely to continue to move west-northwestwards towards north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and adjoining south Andhra Pradesh coasts during the subsequent two days.
Partly cloudy sky and dry weather are expected in most parts of the state today.
Weathermen said there will be no significant changes in the maximum temperature during the next two days.
