Jamshedpur, Dec 17: The minimum temperature will witness a gradual rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius in the next 72 hours, said a forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.
The Met centre also extended the alert of shallow to moderate fog in the next 72 hours.
Met statistics revealed that the minimum temperature in most parts of the state witnessed a rise today.
Ranchi today recorded a minimum temperature of 9 degrees Celsius while Jamshedpur recorded 9.5 degrees Celsius.
Daltonganj was comparatively colder today with the local Met observatory recording a minimum temperature of 7.5 degrees Celsius.
Bokaro recorded a minimum temperature of 9.2 degrees Celsius. Chaibasa in neighbouring West Singhbhum district today recorded a minimum temperature of 7.2 degrees Celsius.
Weathermen said cold wave conditions were today prevailing in some pockets.
