Jamshedpur, Sept 11: Several isolated places across Jharkhand are expected to witness thundershowers and lightning today, said a Met office forecast.
Weathermen at IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre ruled out heavy rain anywhere today. But, the forecast indicated the possibility of heavy rain in the north-eastern and north-central regions on Thursday and Friday.
Meanwhile, the depression over north Chhattisgarh and adjoining interior Odisha moved northwestwards.

It is very likely to move west-northwestwards across north Chhattisgarh and weaken into a well-marked low pressure area over Chhattisgarh and adjoining East Madhya Pradesh today.
The monsoon trough at mean sea level was today passing through Bikaner, Kota, Guna, Umaria, the centre of depression over North Chhattisgarh, Puri and thence southeastwards to central Bay of Bengal extending up to 1.5 Km above the mean sea level.
