Jamshedpur, March 16: Several isolated places across Jharkhand including southern and adjoining central parts are expected to witness thunder showers and lightning today, said a forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.
Weathermen said such an alert has been issued for isolated areas for the next three days too.
The trough from Gangetic West Bengal to north Coastal Andhra Pradesh was today running from cyclonic circulation over north Odisha to east Vidarbha across south Chhattisgarh at 0.9 km above mean sea level.

Tomorrow’s forecast suggests thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by gusty wind (max wind speed: 30-40 kmph) at isolated places.

The weatherman said there would be no significant changes in maximum temperature during the next 48 hours and after that, the day temperature would witness a slight fall.
Met statistics suggested that most places notched 35 degrees Celsius and above during the last couple of days.
