Jamshedpur, July 12: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a forecast of thundershowers and lightning at a few isolated places over Jharkhand.
Weathermen ruled out heavy rain due to a weak monsoon. The southwest monsoon trough has drifted towards the north.
According to weathermen, till the restoration of the though, Jharkhand will be devoid of widespread and heavy rain.
The monsoon trough at mean sea level was today passing through Bikaner, Jaipur, Orai, Baliya, Asansol, Bagati and thence south-eastwards to northeast Bay of Bengal.

The cyclonic circulation over northeast Assam and the neighbourhood was extending up to 1.5 km above mean sea level.
Another cyclonic circulation lies over interior Odisha at 3.1 km above mean sea level.
Met statistics revealed that against a normal of 296 mm rain, the state has so far received 138 mm, resulting in a deficit of 53 per cent.
