PINAKI MAJUMDAR

Jamshedpur, Oct 8: A few isolated places across Jharkhand will witness thundershower activity today, said a forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.

The monsoon currents have become weak over the state and this has restricted rainfall activity.

A cyclonic circulation lies over east Bangladesh and adjoining southeast Assam extending up to 1.5 Km above the mean sea level.

The trough from Jharkhand to Manipur across above cyclonic circulation over northern parts of Gangetic West Bengal and neighbourhood at 0.9 Km above mean sea level has become weak.

The line of withdrawal of the southwest monsoon continues to pass through 29°N/84°E, Nautanwa, Sultanpur, Panna, Narmadapuram, Khargaon, Nandurbar, Navsari and 20°N/70°E.

According to forecast, the maximum temperature will witness a slight rise in the next 48 hours.
