Jamshedpur, Dec 24: A Western Disturbance passing through northern parts resulted in cloud formarton and a rise in minimum reading over Jharkhand.
Koderma, Gumla and Barhi also experienced light rain during the past 24 hours.
Statistics revealed a rising trend in minimum temperature in most places.
Ranchi today recorded a minimum temperature of 11.2 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal while Jamshedpur recorded 12.7 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal.
Daltonganj recorded a minimum temperature of 12.1 degrees Celsius. Today’s minimum temperature in Daltonganj was three notches above normal.
According to weathermen, no significant synoptic condition prevails over Jharkhand.
Satellite pictures suggested that the Western Disturbance as a cyclonic circulation over north Pakistan and adjoining Afghanistan was lying over north Pakistan and neighbourhood between 3.1 and 5.8 Km above mean sea level with a trough aloft its axis at 7.6 Km above mean sea level.
The induced cyclonic circulation was today seen as an induced low-pressure area over northwest Rajasthan and its neighbourhood and associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 1.5 Km above the mean sea level.
