Ranchi, November 12: Jharkhand has added another feather to its cap under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, securing the Top Achiever Award in the Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP) survey conducted by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.

This recognition marks a major milestone for the state, highlighting its progress in creating a more efficient, transparent, and investor-friendly business environment.

Leaders Celebrate Jharkhand’s Achievement
After receiving the award, Industry Secretary Arwa Rajkamal, Industries Director Vishal Sagar, and JIADA Managing Director Varun Ranjan met Chief Minister Hemant Soren at the Jharkhand Secretariat to share the news. The Chief Minister congratulated the officials, commending their coordinated efforts and dedication.
“This major achievement, made possible through the collective efforts of all, is a matter of pride for the entire Jharkhand,” said Chief Minister Hemant Soren, adding that the government remains committed to promoting industrial investment and ensuring steady growth across all sectors.

Officials informed the Chief Minister that Jharkhand earned the Top Achiever Award for its outstanding performance in key reform areas, including business entry, construction permits, labour regulation, and the service sector.
The achievement reflects the state’s focus on simplifying governance, reducing regulatory hurdles, and enhancing investor confidence through innovative policy measures and digital integration.
Chief Minister Soren emphasised, “Our government will continue to take every necessary step to encourage investment and industrial growth. Every officer plays a vital role in ensuring effective implementation of welfare and development schemes. With everyone’s efforts, we will surely succeed in building a new and developed Jharkhand.”
What is the Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP)?
The Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP) is part of the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) initiative of the DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry. It evaluates states and Union Territories based on their performance across various regulatory and governance indicators to encourage competitive, reform-oriented policies that attract investment and promote entrepreneurship.
Jharkhand’s top ranking demonstrates its strong commitment to policy innovation, institutional efficiency, and transparency. Through sustained reforms and infrastructure initiatives, the state is positioning itself as one of India’s most progressive and investment-friendly destinations.
