Dhanbad, Feb 5: Pappu Kumar, a senior physical education teacher at Rajkamal Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Dhanbad, has been selected as a referee for the Judo events at the 38th National Games, which will take place in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
The Judo events are scheduled to be held from February 9th to 13th at the Old Multipurpose Hall of Maharana Pratap Sports College in Dehradun.
According to officials from the sports authority of the state, Pappu Kumar is the only person from Jharkhand assigned this prestigious role of conducting the Judo events at the National Games.
A Three-Dan Black Belt holder, Pappu Kumar also holds a National Diploma in Judo officiating.

The sports community in Jharkhand has praised his selection as a referee for the National Games by the All India Federation. Many congratulated him for this significant achievement.
Notable figures including National Games Vidya Bharti Coordinator Mukherjee Singh Badesha, Rajendra Singh Gujjar, Vidya Vikas Samiti Secretary Nakul Sharma, President of Rajkamal Saraswati Vidya Mandir Vinod Tulsian, and Secretary Sanjiv Agrawal, have extended their congratulations. They expressed pride in Jharkhand’s representation at the National Games through a Judo referee.
