Ranchi, May 18: The campaign for the Gandey Assembly by-election, scheduled to be held on May 20, ended today with INDI Alliance candidate Kalpana Soren holding a mega roadshow.
The roadshow touched almost all the blocks and panchayats of the assembly constituency. A large number of people stood up on both sides of the road and greeted Kalpana Soren.
State Congress President Rajesh Thakur, Rajya Sabha MP Sarfaraz Ahmed, senior Rashtriya Janata Dal leader and minister Satyanand Bhokta, MLA Sudivya Kumar Sonu, Dr Irfan Ansari and many leaders of the INDI Alliance participated in the programme. Kalpana Soren conducted road shows in areas like Phuljori, Pratappur, Medni Sarai, Dhobiadih, Lachhudih, Harila, Phool Jharia, Ahaliyapur, Mahesh Munda, Baghra etc.
