New Delhi, Jan 27: Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi and head of the Aam Aadmi Party, has claimed that the BJP is involved in a conspiracy to overthrow the Aam Aadmi Party government. He further asserted that certain members of his party were tempted with bribes to defect and destabilize his government.
On the social media platform X, Arvind Kejriwal stated, “Recently, they (BJP) have contacted our 7 MLAs from Delhi and said-We will arrest Kejriwal after a few days. After that, we will break the MLAs. Talks have been held with 21 MLAs. Talking to others as well. After that, we will topple the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi. You also come, we will give you Rs 25 crore and get you to contest the elections on BJP ticket.”
“Although they claim that they have contacted 21 MLAs, but as per our information, they have contacted only 7 MLAs so far and all of them have refused,” he stated.
BJP plotting to topple AAP govt: Kejriwal
Arvind Kejriwal highlighted that the situation implies,
“I am not being arrested to investigate any liquor scam, but they are conspiring to topple the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi.”
“In the last nine years, they have hatched many conspiracies to topple our government. But they did not have any success. God and the people always supported us. All our MLAs are also strongly united. This time also, these people will fail in their nefarious intentions,” he added.

In his post, the Delhi chief minister went on to say that the BJP is aware of the enormous amount of work the AAP government has done for the citizens of Delhi and that the government has achieved a great deal in spite of every obstacle the BJP has put in its way.
“The people of Delhi love ‘AAP’ immensely. Therefore, it is not in their power to defeat AAP in the elections. So they want to topple the government by making arrests on the pretext of a fake liquor scam,” he stated.
Kejriwal has skipped four ED summons
In response to the fourth summons issued by the Enforcement Directorate earlier this month in connection to the Delhi Excise policy case, Kejriwal questioned the timing of the notice, raising concerns about its issuance just two months before the elections.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned Kejriwal for the fourth time in a money laundering investigation related to discrepancies in the Delhi excise policy for the year 2021-22, asking for his presence for the investigation on January 18.
Kejriwal has previously avoided attending the Enforcement Directorate’s summons on three occasions, which were issued on January 3, November 2, and December 22. He labelled them as unlawful and politically driven.
Regarding matters like as the creation of policy, meetings that took place prior to its finalization, and accusations of bribery, the ED is seeking to record Kejriwal’s statement in the case.
