New Delhi, Feb 17: After winning the trust vote in the Delhi Assembly on Saturday, Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to campaign for votes in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Will liberate nation from BJP: Kejriwal

Addressing the motion of confidence, Kejriwal confidently stated that even if the BJP emerges victorious in this year’s Lok Sabha polls, the AAP will free the nation from the saffron party in the 2029 elections.

The chief minister of Delhi, who is also the convenor of the AAP, stated that although his government has a majority in the House, a motion of confidence was necessary because the BJP was attempting to poach AAP MLAs and overthrow his government.

Afterwards, with 54 of the 62 MLAs from the AAP present for the vote, the House passed the motion of confidence by voice vote.

Kejriwal accuses BJP of MLA poaching, asserts AAP resilience against arrest threats

He stated that a number of MLAs gave an account of how “BJP people” reportedly contacted them and offered money to switch sides.

Kejriwal emphasized that the BJP believed it could dismantle the AAP by apprehending him.

“On contacting our MLAs, we found out that they tried to poach seven of our legislators. These MLAs today said in the House that they were approached (by the BJP). As Rajesh Gupta said, they (BJP) want us to show proof. How can we show proof? A person doesn’t carry a tape recorder all the time. They feel that the party (AAP) will collapse once Arvind Kejriwal is arrested. They can arrest Kejriwal but how will they arrest Kejriwal’s thinking?,” he stated.

Kejriwal alleges BJP impending AAP govt’s work

The chief minister of Delhi claimed that the BJP was impeding his government’s operations by controlling the bureaucracy and the Services department.

“They claim to be Ram bhakt but they stopped medicines for the poor people in our hospitals. Did Lord Ram ask for stopping medicines for the poor people?” he stated.

Kejriwal mentioned that he has encountered various forms of attacks in the past, including being slapped and having ink thrown at him, and now they aim to apprehend him.
