Ranchi, March 7: 11 women MLAs of the Jharkhand Assembly met Chief Minister Hemant Soren today in his chamber. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Chief Minister extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all women ministers and MLAs.
He emphasized that their presence in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly strengthens women’s power. Regardless of political affiliation—whether in the ruling party or the opposition—each of them represents the voice of women’s safety, self-reliance, and empowerment in the House.
Women’s Participation is Key to Holistic Development
The Chief Minister highlighted that the active participation of half the population is essential for the holistic development of the country, state, and society. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to women’s empowerment and welfare through various initiatives, including the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana.

Women Bringing Pride to the State
Expressing his pride, the Chief Minister acknowledged the remarkable achievements of Jharkhand’s women in various fields—economic, social, political, educational, cultural, and sports. He commended their hard work and talent, which have brought laurels to the state.
“Today, women are making significant strides in every field. The government is fully committed to supporting them in achieving their goals,” he said.
Concluding his address, he once again extended his congratulations on International Women’s Day.
