Ranchi, March 7: Governor Santosh Gangwar today called upon students to view education as more than just acquiring degrees, stressing its role in shaping character, morality, and social responsibility. Focus on Innovation and Research

Research should aim at solving local challenges,” the Governor said.
He also cautioned against superficial research, advocating for genuine exploration of subjects like the Green Revolution and renewable energy. “It is encouraging that Ranchi University is actively working in tribal studies, biodiversity, traditional medicine, and folk culture,” the Governor added.
India’s Global Rise and Role of Youth
Citing India’s scientific achievements, including Chandrayaan-3 and Aditya-L1, the Governor highlighted the country’s growing prominence on the global stage. “If the resolve is strong, no goal is impossible. The dream of a ‘Developed India’ is not just a slogan but a resolution, and its realization depends on our youth,” the Governor remarked.
Underlining the National Education Policy 2020, the Governor called it a transformative step towards practical knowledge, skill development, and innovation. “I am confident that Ranchi University’s students will drive this change and make Jharkhand a leader in education and research,” the Governor said.
A Call to Persevere
The Governor urged students to take inspiration from historical figures like Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Swami Vivekananda, and Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, who overcame struggles with vision and determination.
Concluding the address, the Governor left students with an inspiring message: “There will be challenges and failures, but the one who rises after falling is the true winner. Recognize the power of the pen, the power of knowledge, and drive your own destiny.”
