New Delhi, June 4: The NDA, led by the Bharatiya Janata Party, has crossed the majority mark in early leads and the INDIA bloc has beyond 200, surprising all exit poll expectations as the Lok Sabha election results are being counted.
NDA is ahead in 299 seats in which BJP leads on 236 seats. On the other hand, INDI Alliance is ahead on 229 seats.
There are 99 seats in the lead for the Congress, 37 for the Samajwadi Party, 21 for the DMK, 30 for the Trinamool Congress, 10 for the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray), 8 for the NCP (SP), 5 for the CPI(M), and 3 for the Aam Aadmi Party.

Taking the lead in the most seats, the INDI Alliance is making significant gains in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.
BJP-led Mahayuti is leading in 17 out of 40 seats in Maharashtra, while the Maha Vikas Aghadi of Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP (SC) are leading in 30 seats.
Approximately 642 million people cast their votes in the Lok Sabha elections, which took place over seven phases in a vast six-week period. The vote counting began with the postal ballots under stringent security measures.
