Wardha, September 20: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday laid the foundation stone for the PM Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park in Amravati, Maharashtra.
The 1,000-acre park, which is being developed by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) as the State Implementation Agency, is one of seven PM MITRA Parks approved by the central government for the textile industry.
Prime Minister Modi also participated in the National ‘PM Vishwakarma’ Programme, which celebrated one year of advancements under the PM Vishwakarma initiative. During the event, he also inaugurated the Maharashtra government’s “Acharya Chanakya Skill Development Centre” scheme.

Skill development training centers will be set up in prominent colleges throughout the state to offer training to individuals aged 15 to 45, helping them become self-reliant and explore various job opportunities. Approximately 150,000 youths statewide will receive free skill development training annually.
Prime Minister Modi also unveiled the “Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Women Startup Scheme,” which will provide early-stage support to women-led startups in Maharashtra, including financial aid of up to Rs 25 lakh.
