Dhanbad, March 22: Sub-Judge and Secretary of the Dhanbad District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Rakesh Roshan, emphasized the crucial role of mediators in resolving disputes through mutual compromise, ensuring swift justice for plaintiffs and litigants.

Addressing a daylong training session for mediators at the Dhanbad court premises, Roshan highlighted how the active involvement of mediators has significantly contributed to the prompt resolution of cases.

The training session was conducted under the directives of the Dhanbad Principal District and Sessions Judge, who also serves as the chairman of DLSA, and was organized by the Jharkhand Legal Services Authority (JHALSA). A total of 27 mediators participated in the training.

During the session, Roshan revealed that a recent five-day special drive resulted in 35 cases being referred to the Mediation Centre, out of which 28 were successfully resolved on the spot.

The mediators expressed satisfaction with the training, acknowledging the valuable insights shared by Roshan. They noted that the practical guidance provided would enhance their ability to facilitate settlements between disputing parties more effectively.
