Daltonganj, January 26: A renowned eye surgeon and Head of the Eye Department at MMCH Daltonganj, Dr Rakesh Kumar, was felicitated by Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore during the Republic Day celebration held at the police line ground in Daltonganj.
The minister was accompanied by IG of Police, Palamu Zone, Shailendra Kumar Sinha, Deputy Commissioner Sameera S, and Superintendent of Police Reeshma Ramesan.
Dr Rakesh Kumar is credited with starting Phaco cataract surgery at MMCH for the first time. Under his leadership, four Phaco cataract surgeries were successfully conducted at the hospital.
