New Delhi, Sept 15: Mohammed Siraj has been named ICC Men’s Player of the Month for August 2025 following his brilliant performance in the final Test against England at The Oval.
The pacer’s remarkable nine-wicket haul across both innings, including a five-wicket effort in the second innings, played a crucial role in India clinching a challenging Test and securing a 2-2 series draw.

Siraj had also earned the Player of the Match award for his extraordinary spell, bowling 46 overs with relentless intensity.

The right-arm fast bowler outshone competition from New Zealand’s Matt Henry and West Indies’ Jayden Seales to claim the monthly accolade.
Notably, Siraj was the only Indian pacer to feature in all five Tests against England, finishing as India’s leading wicket-taker.
His consistent performance and ability to maintain high intensity until the final day of the series were widely praised by cricket analysts.
