Jamshedpur, August 12: The 3rd day of the Naval Tata Hockey Jharkhand Sub-Junior State Hockey Championship 2024 (Men) under the aegis of Hockey Jharkhand commenced today at Naval Tata Hockey Academy in Jamshedpur.

The 3rd day was graced by Avinash Kumar, Head Quality Assurance of Tata Steel along with  Rohit Singh, Manager Jamshedpur Football Club and  Bhupendra Tripathi, Tata Steel.

A total of eight teams participated in the Sub-Junior Category (Under 17).

The first match was played between Team Ranchi vs Team Hazaribagh. A thrilling match ended in a hard-fought and Team Ranchi defeated Team Hazaribagh by 4-0.  Player Ankit Ekka from Team Ranchi was the player of the match for his exceptional performance.

In the second match, Team Gumla beat Team West Singhbhum by 14-0 where Sumit Oraon from Gumla emerged as player of the match.

In the 3rd clash between Khunti vs NTHA Team NTHA scored 7 goals to beat Khunti by 7-2. Player Ramish Bhengra from Team Khunti was the player of the match.

The last match played between Team Simdega and Team East Singhbhum where Team Simdega beat Team East Singhbhum by 23-1 goals. Player Naman Nag from Team East Singhbhum was adjudged the player of the match.

For the first semi-final, Ranchi will be competing with Team NTHA while second semi-final will be played between Simdega and Khunti.
