New Delhi, Oct 8: As the counting progresses, the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) trends show that the alliance between the Jammu Kashmir National Conference (NC) and Congress has surpassed the halfway mark, leading in 50 seats.
Congress was leading in 8 seats whereas NC was leading in 42 seats.
BJP was leading in 29 seats in J&K, as per the ECI website.

The J-K assembly election for 90 constituencies took place in three phases on September 18, 25, and October 1.
The vote counting for the Haryana Assembly election is also ongoing, with the BJP leading in over half of the seats, as per the latest update on the Election Commission’s website.
As per the ECI website, the BJP is leading in 49 seats in Haryana, while the Congress holds leads in 35 seats.
The voting for 90 member Haryana assembly took place in a single phase on October 5.
