New Delhi, April 22: In a case connected to terrorist activities, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) searched nine places in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, on Monday.
As part of a case the agency filed in 2022, the continuing raids, which started early on Monday, are being carried out in coordination with security forces at a number of locations connected to people who are linked with terrorism.
The anti-terror agency conducted the searches in response to particular information they had received about some suspected individuals who were living in Srinagar.

The search operation took place nearly a month following the NIA’s filing of chargesheet against two accused individuals in connection with the Kokernag encounter case in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to sources, the suspects in this case are associated with The Resistant Front (TRF), an affiliate of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
Both LeT and TRF are banned organizations that have actively encouraged young people in Kashmir to join terrorist groups under the pretext of ‘jihad.’
