According to police sources, the arrest followed a well-planned undercover operation.

A day before the raid, law enforcement officials had deployed a decoy customer to the suspect’s house to confirm suspicions of illegal drug dealing.

After the sale of narcotics was verified, a special police team conducted a raid on Wednesday night and apprehended the woman in the act of handing over a packet of brown sugar.

During the search operation, police recovered 18 packets of brown sugar from the premises. The confiscated narcotics have been sent to a forensic laboratory for testing.

Authorities believe that the house had become a hub for drug distribution following Wasim Baccha’s incarceration, with his mother allegedly taking over the illicit trade.

The Station House Officer (SHO) of Mango police station confirmed that a case is being registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

The accused woman is currently in custody and is scheduled to be remanded to judicial custody later in the day today.

Investigations are now underway to identify other individuals potentially involved in the drug trafficking network.

Police have hinted at the possibility of a wider nexus operating in the area.
