New Delhi, July 1: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the results for the NEET-UG 2024 re-examination. Additionally, the NTA has issued a revised rank list.
According to NTA, students can check their scorecards on the official website neet.nta.nic.in. It should be noted that 1,563 students were awarded grace marks in the NEET-UG exam.
A bench headed by Justice Vikram Nath of the Supreme Court, while hearing petitions regarding grace marks, re-exams, and exam cancellations, ruled that the scorecards of the 1,563 students who were awarded grace marks should be cancelled.
Subsequently, the NTA conducted a re-exam for these students. However, only 813 out of the 1,563 students appeared for the re-exam. The remaining 48% of students opted to retain their original scores leaving the grace marks. The counselling process for these students will commence on July 6.

CBI currently probing irregularities, paper leak issue
The NTA conducted the NEET-UG exam on May 5 at 4,750 centres. Approximately 23 lakh students participated in this exam.
The results were initially scheduled to be announced on June 14, but since the answer key evaluation was completed earlier, the results were declared on June 4.
In these results, 67 students scored a perfect 720 out of 720. Additionally, 1,563 students were awarded grace marks due to “loss of time.”
The issues of the paper leak and grace marks gained significant attention, leading to allegations of malpractice in the exam and triggering protests.
On June 10, a large number of students protested in Delhi, demanding an investigation into the alleged malpractices.
Several cases have been filed in the High Courts and Supreme Court regarding this matter. Currently, NEET-UG 2024 is under investigation due to the paper leak and other irregularities.
After a review, the Ministry of Education has handed the case over to the CBI for a thorough investigation.
