Jamshedpur, Dec 5: Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested a member of the outlawed outfit PLFI from the Bandhgao Thana area in West Singhbhum about 180 km away from here today.
While arresting the accused identified as Joto Sandi Purti, the police and paramilitary force recovered a loaded pistol besides the motorcycle as well as literature related to the outfit’s ideology.
The police and paramilitary forces on Tuesday recovered a double-barrel gun, ammunition and another motorcycle which had been kept under the bush in a forest stretch in Bandhgao.

According to police, the Bandhgao Thana OC, Rahul Kumar Murmu had on Monday evening got a tip-off that the PLFI’s area commander Radung Bodra alias Lambu was to arrived at a village known as Itisrijan in Bandhgao.
As the area commander was with his squad and was supposed to execute some grievous anti-insurgency there, the OC, Murmu set up a raiding team inclusive of the paramilitary forces and raided the place.
During the raid, the area commander managed to escape with the squad members, but one of them was caught who was later identified as Joto Sandi Purti.
Later the arrested rebel was interrogated and on being interrogation, he led the police team to the spot where the area commander had kept the double-barrel gun, ammunition and the bike.
