Kyiv, August 23: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Mariinskyi Palace on Friday for bilateral discussions.
Upon his arrival at the Palace, Prime Minister Modi shared a warm embrace with President Zelenskyy and greeted various Ukrainian delegates with handshakes. He was joined by Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and other key officials.
The two leaders conducted a private meeting to address crucial matters. This was followed by high-level delegation discussions, focusing on key aspects of bilateral cooperation. Additionally, documents were exchanged to formalize agreements and collaborations between the two countries.

Earlier, when PM Modi arrived at the Hyatt Hotel in Kyiv, he was greeted with enthusiastic applause from the Indian community. Numerous students had gathered, excitedly waiting for a chance to see the Prime Minister.
Later, he and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited a multimedia Martyrologist exposition at the National Museum of History of Ukraine in Kyiv, dedicated to children who have perished in the conflict. Moved by the tribute, the Prime Minister expressed his sorrow and placed a toy in their memory, according to a Ministry of External Affairs press release.
