New Delhi, August 6: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday inaugurated Kartavya Bhawan-3 at Kartavya Path in New Delhi, marking the launch of the first of 20 upcoming Common Central Secretariat buildings designed to centralize India’s administrative structure.
This ambitious project, part of the Central Vista redevelopment plan, aims to consolidate ministries and departments under one roof to enhance efficiency, foster innovation, and improve inter-departmental coordination.

Located within the Central Vista, Kartavya Bhawan is envisioned as a new power hub of governance.
The newly inaugurated Kartavya Bhawan-3 will accommodate key offices, including the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of MSME, Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, and the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser (PSA).
