New York, July 16: According to the list of speakers released by the United Nations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to address the high-level United Nations General Assembly session on September 26.
The high-level general debate of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly will take place from September 24 to September 30.
According to the list released by the UN on Monday, the Indian head of state will address the high-level session on the afternoon of September 26.

Brazil to be first speaker as per tradition
The list is not final and will be updated by the UN in the coming weeks to reflect any changes in attendance, schedules, and speaking slots for leaders, ministers, and ambassadors.
Brazil is traditionally the first speaker in the debate. It will open the high-level session with its address on September 24. US President Joe Biden will then address the United Nations.
Modi, who was sworn in as India’s Prime Minister for a historic third term last month, had earlier addressed the annual high-level UNGA session in September 2021.
