PM Modi, President Murmu, others extend Eid-al-Adha greetings

New Delhi, June 7: Leaders across the political spectrum extended warm greetings to the nation on the occasion of Eid ul-Adha, calling for peace, harmony, and collective progress.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking the occasion of Eid ul-Adha, urged citizens to let the festival serve as an inspiration for fostering harmony and reinforcing the spirit of peace across the nation.

“Best wishes on Eid ul-Adha. May this occasion inspire harmony and strengthen the fabric of peace in our society. Wishing everyone good health and prosperity,” PM Modi posted on X.

President Droupadi Murmu, in her Eid-al-Adha message, called upon people to commit themselves to working selflessly for the betterment of society and the country.

“On the auspicious occasion of Eid-uz-Zuha, I extend my heartiest greetings and best wishes to all my countrymen, especially my Muslim brothers and sisters. This festival explains the importance of sacrifice, faith and many noble ideals. On this auspicious occasion, let us all take a pledge to work with a spirit of dedication for the society and the country,” President Murmu wrote on X.

Extending his greetings, Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, also conveyed his wishes on the occasion. “Eid Mubarak to everyone! May love and understanding fill our hearts and unite us all,” he shared on X.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge highlighted the importance of unity, encouraging everyone to strengthen bonds and strive for a just, harmonious, and peaceful society.

“Eid al-Adha celebrates the noble values of selfless sacrifice, trust, and forgiveness. As we celebrate this joyous occasion, may we all unite to foster stronger fraternity and work towards a peaceful, harmonious, and just society. Eid Mubarak!” Kharge wrote on X.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju shared his Eid-al-Adha wishes in Urdu, joining leaders across the political spectrum in celebrating the festival. “Happy Eid al-Adha! Heartfelt congratulations to all Muslim brothers and sisters on the occasion of Eid al-Adha,” Rijiju posted on X.
