Ranchi, Nov 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived here today and took part in a roadshow at various points in a bid to reach out to people, particularly tribals ahead of the 2024 parliamentary election.

PM Modi, who arrived here after holding a roadshow in Indore and addressing election meetings at different places in MP, boarded a vehicle from the Birsa Munda airport.

Governor CP Radhakrishnan, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda and BJP state chief Babulal Marandi among others received the prime minister at the airport.

A “saffron corridor” was created for welcoming the prime minister covering the barricades on both sides of the 10 km road from the airport to the Raj Bhawan.

As he walked through the Harmu road, Modi waved at the people who thronged on sides of the road. BJP workers standing along the route were seen holding party flags.

People welcomed the prime minister by showering flowers on him at various points on the route. They also waved pictures of the Ram temple being built in Ayodhya along with Modi’s photos, and also shouted the “Modi, Modi” slogan.

The prime minister’s motorcade passed through Birsa Munda chowk, Argora Chowk, Harmu chowk and Gaushala and reached the Raj Bhawan.

The police put in place elaborate security arrangements for the roadshow.
