New Delhi, Nov 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched an initiative on Thursday aimed at increasing the number of Jan Aushadhi Kendras (JAK), from 10,000 to 25,000, which provide medicines at subsidized rates. Modi held a video conference to interact with beneficiaries of the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ during the event.
Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra
According to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is being conducted across the nation with the goal of achieving saturation of the government’s flagship schemes by ensuring that the benefits of these schemes reach all targeted beneficiaries in a timely manner.

10,000th JAK at AIIMS Deoghar
In the course of the event, Prime Minister Modi initiated a program to raise the count of Jan Aushadhi Kendras across the nation from 10,000 to 25,000.
During the event, the Prime Minister dedicated the 10,000th Jan Aushadi Kendra at AIIMS, Deoghar, to the nation.
Drone Didi Yojna
PM Modi also launched the ‘Drone Didi Yojana’.
The initiative intends to supply drones to 15,000 specific Women Self Help Groups between 2024-25 and 2025-2026. The goal is to enable these groups to offer rental services to farmers for agricultural purposes.
