Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras (PMBJKs)

In the pursuit to enhance the wellness and welfare of passengers visiting railway stations, Indian Railways conceptualized a policy framework to establish Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras (PMBJKs) in circulating areas and concourses of stations which are operated by Licensees.

Two kendras under SER jurisdiction – at Sini (Chakradharpur Division) and Kharagpur station will be inaugurated.

Rail coach restaurants

To provide a unique dining ambience to the passengers, the Indian Railway has been opening Rail Coach Restaurants at its major stations and points.

This initiative is capturing the attention of travellers seeking a unique culinary encounter.

The Rail Coach Restaurants aims to cater to the needs of passengers and the public apart from generating non-fare revenue for railways.

Two such rail coach restaurants will come up at Rourkela and Tatanagar railway stations

New Railway Lines

The third line between the Nimpura- Kalaikunda of the Kharagpur- Adityapur 3rd line project will become operational.
