Ranchi, Feb 10: Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar, while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the 68th All India Police Duty Meet-2025 at Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Stadium, Khelgaon, Ranchi, emphasized the significance of such events. Whether managing festivals, elections, natural disasters, or combating extremism, police officers carry out their duties with devotion, courage, and integrity. Addressing Emerging Challenges in Law Enforcement
Governor Gangwar highlighted the rising challenges of cybercrime, financial fraud, human trafficking, and organized crime. To address these effectively, he stressed the need for police forces to be equipped with cutting-edge technologies and specialized skills. He also emphasized the importance of recently implemented criminal laws, describing them as a crucial step toward a more effective, transparent, and timely justice system. These laws aim to simplify legal processes, make justice more accessible and victim-centric, and ensure swift punishment for criminals while delivering prompt justice to victims.

The Governor further discussed the concept of Smart Policing, envisioned by the Prime Minister, which calls for a police force that is more sensitive, modern, vigilant, accountable, and technology-driven.
