Paris, July 31: At the Paris Olympics on Wednesday, India’s PV Sindhu secured her place in the Round of 16 of the women’s singles badminton event by winning against Kristin Kuuba of Estonia in the final Group M match.

In a 34-minute match at the La Chapelle Arena, Sindhu outplayed Kuuba and emerged victorious 21-5, 21-10.

Sindhu took charge of the first game, clinching a 21-5 win in 14 minutes, and carried her momentum into the second game, where she triumphed 21-10 in 19 minutes.

In her next Round of 16 match, PV Sindhu could potentially go up against He Bingjiao from the People’s Republic of China.
During the Tokyo Olympics, Sindhu had won the bronze medal by defeating He Bingjiao.
