New Delhi, Nov 6: The Bharatiya Janata Party released its sixth list of three candidates for the November 25 Rajasthan elections on Monday.
The party nominated Girraj Singh Malinga, who was previously a Congress MLA representing Bari but switched to the BJP on Sunday, as their candidate from Bari.
Deepak Kadvasra is set to run as a candidate from Barmer, while Arun Amraram Chaudhary will be contesting from Pachpadra.
Arun Singh, the National General Secretary of the party, released the list on Monday morning.
On Sunday, there was a demonstration by supporters of former Rajasthan BJP president Arun Chaturvedi at the party’s headquarters in Jaipur. This protest occurred following the party’s release of another list of 15 candidates, which excluded Chaturvedi from receiving a ticket.
The party granted an election ticket to Gopal Sharma for the Civil Lines constituency, rather than Arun Chaturvedi.
Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, the MP for Jodhpur and Union Minister, spoke with the demonstrators and tried to calm them down.
The supporters of Ashok Parnami, the former president of the BJP’s Rajasthan unit, demonstrated on Sunday after learning that he had also been refused a ticket.
The party nominated Ravi Nayyar as their candidate from Adarsh Nagar instead of formel MLA Ashok Parnami.
