New Delhi, Nov 17: In connection with the Red Fort bomb blast case, reports indicate that Delhi Police has issued summons to Al-Falah University Chairman Javed Ahmed Siddiqui in two separate cases.

The summons relate to ongoing investigations involving a suspected terror module in Faridabad, along with allegations of fraud and forgery against the university. This information was shared on Monday.

Meanwhile, in a related development, Faridabad Police on Monday questioned Kashmiri students and other tenants living in rented accommodations across the city as part of the Red Fort blast probe. So far, police have questioned more than 2,000 students and tenants.

The Delhi Police Crime Branch had earlier registered two FIRs against Al-Falah University—one related to cheating and the other to forgery.

Following a complaint from the University Grants Commission (UGC), the police visited the university’s Okhla office and sought documents for investigation.

The Crime Branch has confirmed the registration of both FIRs. According to officials, one complaint filed by the UGC pertains to violations of UGC Section 12, while the other relates to the university’s allegedly fraudulent accreditation claims.
