Revenge attack foiled in Jamshedpur; armed youth arrested before crime

Jamshedpur, April 20: Swift police action prevented a possible violent incident in the Ulidih thana area on Sunday morning, as a youth carrying an illegal firearm was arrested before he could carry out a revenge attack.

Late-Night Tip-Off Leads to Action

Acting on a tip-off received around 3:30 AM by the Senior Superintendent of Police, a special team was formed under the direction of the City SP. The input suggested that a youth was moving suspiciously with a weapon and could be planning a serious crime.

Police quickly cordoned off Tower Maidan, Sankosai Road No. 05, and caught the suspect while he tried to flee. During the search, an illegal country-made pistol was recovered from his waist.
