New Delhi, Jan 28: The Samajwadi Party (SP) will actively campaign for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.
SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal are set to lead a joint roadshow in the Rithala constituency on January 30, showcasing their alliance.
The SP’s support is part of a larger coalition, as parties like the Trinamool Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) have also backed the ruling AAP in Delhi.
Additionally, several SP MPs, including Kairana MP Iqra Hasan, will participate in campaigning efforts to seek votes for AAP candidates in the elections.

Despite contesting the 2024 Lok Sabha elections together in Delhi as part of the INDIA alliance, Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) are now competing separately in the Delhi Assembly polls.
This split has created a division within the alliance, with key INDIA bloc allies extending their support to AAP in the assembly elections.
Voting for the 70-member Delhi Assembly will take place on February 5, with the results being counted on February 8.
